Blog Fodder
**********************
EDITED TO ADD: I am fixing some bugs on my blog, so if you may not be able to comment for a little while. Thanks for your patience!
*********************
It's hard to post when I haven't got many pictures to show. I'm knitting on lots of things right now that can't be shown on the blog (presents, etc), so my knitting pictures are pretty limited. So, in the interest of having some blog fodder, I took my camera to the studio last night. My band, Bling the Children Back Home, is working on an album, and we've been laying down some vocals this week. See:

Working hard.
I actually don't really work with that big old board very often. I just go into the room and sing, and they record it. But in that picture, I really was helping record someone else. I swear. You can ask this guy:

He's for real.
That's Richard, aka Greasy V. He's pretending to knit in that picture.
Clearly I'm struggling for bloggy pictures.
Do you want to know what that knitted object is in Richard's hands? I'll give you a hint:

Do you know now?
Crap. I just can't keep anything a secret.
Hmm. What else is going on? I'm starting school on August 17th. Yikes. I'm trying not to freak out about it. I've talked to a few people who have worked full time and gone to grad school at the same time, and they're all like, "Um, good luck! Your next two years are going to be hell." Like, they don't even try to sugarcoat it. Accccccccccck.
But, I like to be busy. I can do it. And I'm interested in what I'm studying, so that should help. Right?!?!?!?
So, there you have it. Grad school is a-comin'. And so is a Bling album. And some not-so-secret knitted items. And Anne Marie's birthday! It's tomorrow - July 21 - so be sure you go wish her a happy happy!

Ah, grad school and working is fine. It is busy, and there are moments when you want to freak out, but you'll be fine! You're already used to juggling lots of stuff, so what's one more thing, right? I'm so sick that I just finished my masters and I'm already looking at the next schooly step, crazy girl.

you're such a rockstar!

I work full time & go to school full time and I am planning a wedding too. It is ok. It makes a HUGE difference to be interested in what you are doing. Don't anticipate a lot of cleaning/partying/grocery shopping time, because you just won't have it. It feels great to do something that moves you in the direction you want to go in...Good for you!!!!!

Congrats on the album. I'm sure you'll rock out at grad school and working. I look back at grad school now and it was so much more fun than just being the working stiff that I am now : )

I'm doing that now, and I won't lie, its hard. But, its also very rewarding and you feel like Superwoman when you do it all. I did sacrifice gym-time and sleep-time, not to mention friend and family time, but when I have my degree it will all be worth it. Good luck! Remember to enjoy it!

I'm doing the full time work/grad school thing in the fall too. I actually don't think it will be that bad. Just might have to sacrifice knitting time. :-( In any case, good luck!

I've done grad school and working full-time, just not at the same time. Good luck - I'm sure you'll kick butt.

Yay for the album! All those buttons--unbelievable--how do you know which to push?
I like Greasy V.'s knitting stance. It looks very get-down-to-business, yet poised for hari-kari more than for knitting.
Is it a dickey? Just kidding.
Grad school and working full time and singing in a fabulous band and knitting and blogging about it all, you can do all that no problem. Planning a wedding too, that might be tricky. Lucky for you, you have many, many friends, so get ready to delegate!

You are going to rock grad school. I can't wait for the Bling album. Then I can stop singing the songs with the wrong words in my head.

My friend John is in grad school while working full time and he hasn't keeled over yet, so I have faith in you! You can do it!
Album! Yay!

Now would be the time to start practicing that venerable motto: "Grades don't matter in grad school." That plus tuition remission should hopefully reduce the stress.

I worked full time and went to grad school and just finished in June. It's not easy but its not that bad. I still had plenty of time to do the things I wanted to do, you just have to be good at time management. You'll be fine!

I can't wait to hear all about the album when it comes out! And Carrie, I know that you're going to do well with work and school. You're a smart girl with lots of motivation and you're going to kick butt!

The album news is pretty cool. You will be busy but I'm you'll manage to keep making not very secret things.

I work full time and do grad school in the evenings, and it's not so bad. But I only take one class a semester - is that what you're doing?

An album? Cool! How fun! Have you and the Pants set a wedding date yet?
