Can't Stop. Can't Stop the Beat.

I can't stop knitting my Must-Have cardigan. I'm in love with the pattern, and the squishiness of the yarn, and the COLOR. I love. And also, hi. It's 76 degrees outside! and I'm totally into this wool sweater. Nice timing.

Cables basking in the sun.
Me likey this spring sweater.

Yum. I've never really done cablework like this before, and I'm having a blast. I realize that my honeymoon period with cabling won't last forever, but right now, me and cables are SO IN LOVE.

Oh squishy diamond cables. And irish moss stitch. You're so cute.

Ahem. Sorry I got carried away there. My Must-Have is now TV knitting, and my Sockapaloooza sock is my travel knitting (it goes in the purse for car trips, waiting in line and other various instances of free time.)

Ribbing makes the Trekking look even nicer.

I don't know how the Trekking is going to stripe on the second sock, but I think it will be lovely even if the socks are more fraternal than identical twins.

This weekend is a Bling The Children Back Home extravaganza. I've got a show in Atlanta on Saturday night and a show in Chattanooga TN on Sunday night. I just threw together a new website for Bling too -- it's over [ here ]. So plans for tonight include relaxing, knitting, and deciding what wigs to wear to the shows. Har. Any suggestions for restaurants in Chattanooga?

Have a great weekend!

Oh, those cables are stunning!!!!!!!
And the trekking colourway is beautiful!

knitting looks great! the website looks great! You're great!

Does that mean you are putting the 800 other sweater that you have going on the backburner?
It looks fantastic. I don't know how you can knit that and watch tv. It seems like it would require too much concentration. You are amazing.

ahh the love affair with cables...it's a mystery how satisfying they can be...yet when they turn on you...it's maddening. Very much like young love!

Looking great though...and love the trekking...

Wow - what a gorgous sweater-to-be - I've been itchin' to try something with cables but I'll definitely have to start with something a little simpler I do believe. Love those socks - my BF Cheryl is a purple-lover so I might have to pick some of the grapey trekkin' up and make her a pair.

Your bling site - "eet's sooo shiney!!" great job!

Rob

No wonder you can't stop knitting on that sweater--what a scrumptious pattern and color!! And squishy yarn too!! Mmmm!

Isn't Galway WONDERFUL!! It's in my top 5 yarns. My only wish is that the people at plymouth would make it in more colors.....

Chattanooga is a great place! We live in Ringgold, GA about 10 miles south of Chattanooga. One of my favorite places is Tony's Pasta in the art district. All their pasta and bread is made from scratch. I also love Southern Star, but I think they're closed on Sunday. There's also a great little yarn shop called Genuine Purl I love to visit. Hope you have a terrific time visiting and performing!

Boy does that yarn look soft and spongy! Is spongy a word? I love the subtle color changes insour sock, it makes me think of a hydrangea!

I'm hoping to start my own romantic entanglement with cables very, very soon. Yours look gorgeous and I love the color! Have a great bling filled weekend!

Oh honey, that color is gorgeous! And it matches your blog! :) Yummy. I like your Trekking socks, too. You seem to make such wise knitting choices these days, Miss Carrie!

I love the sweater and socks...Your sock pal will love them. I love cables too! I can't wait to see it finished.

the cardigan looks fab! i'd love for it to be in the 70s here, i'm tired of the cold!!

have fun this weekend at your shows!!

i'm glad you're having fun with cables-- i, too, had my first cabling experience not too long ago and discovered how easy it could be (so far...).

as for chattanooga, that's funny-- i went to a show at rhythms & brews (floating men concert). i also highly recommend mud pie for brunch. have fun performing!

Your Must-Have looks great! I've only completed one front and a third of the back of mine, and I started last spring. Oops. But I'm dying to wear it!

P.S. The bling site looks fab!

Gorgeous sweater! Have a great time at the show in Chattavegas - there are lots of great places to eat, so you won't have a problem finding one. The Back Inn in the Bluff View arts district is one of my favorites, and there's a sculpture garden just outside. Gorgeous!

Awwww.. I'm sure you and cables will have a very long and happy future together.

I've been drooling over that sweater ever since you posted a picture -- it looks great! I find cables oddly fascinating, too. I like them because it keeps the knitting interesting -- always changing. Have fun at your show! Can't wait to see which wig(s?) you choose!

Wow - the sweater's BEAUTIFUL!!!

I'm starting my very first sweater and it calls for 100% cotten, but it doesn't HAVE to be. Any suggestions on yarn easy to work with?
