Pattern. and an Answer**

Camisole Tube: Done. I attached strap #2 and blocked it (mostly because, in my experience, Cotton Fleece will bleed color like crazy if you don't soak the crap out of it.) This tank top has turned out to be one of my most favorite knitted items EVER. I took great care with my finishing (FOR ONCE) and I think I will wear it a lot. Here's a finished picture for ya:

Stylin'.

For the straps, I tried to do a long row of single crochet, and discovered how truly bad I am at crocheting, so I did crochet, but I just did two single crochets across, and then back, etc. It turned out kinda cute! I love finishing something that I will actually wear.

In that same category, I wore my Grape Fanta to work on Friday and I think it works well as business attire. Here's me trying to get a picture of my outfit:

um, it's a little blurry.
you might have to take my word that I looked professional.

Anywho. This weekend was a little crazy. There was a trip to Winn Dixie for the going-out-of-business sale, which turned into the let's-buy-lots-of-crap-because-it's-on-sale sale, much to my dismay. We got *some* good stuff, but a word of warning: DO NOT be fooled by the big Winn Dixie sales signs. They will lure you in, and then lots of things are full price. D'oh. Live and learn. At least I now have enough tampons to last me through the year.

After the Winn Dixie Debacle, there was knitting time. I worked on the Brooks Farm Clappy, and it's growing bigger and bigger. She might get finished this week!

I love this colorway. And the softness.

I do NOT like how much the yarn sheds on me, but I'm getting used to it. ( I just hate getting a piece of mohair stuck in my throat when I'm knitting in the car. ) Otherwise, the yarn is a dream to knit with, and I think the finished Clappy is going to be extremely wearable. Of course, it will have to get colder, and that won't happen for...um... six months? Never? Who knows. It's freakin' hot right now, that's fer sure. It was *almost* hard to knit with the Brooks Farm today because of the heat. Almost, but not quite.

Okay. It's off to bed for me. I have a big week ahead of me - school is back in this week, and I think it's going to get kinda crazy around these parts. Crazy fun, hopefully. It certainly means that it will now take me longer than 11 minutes to get to work. Dammit.

**re: the dress that I was wearing in the conga line picture ... $14.99 at Ross Dress for Less. Perhaps I shouldn't share my cheapness with the world, but DAMN THAT'S A GOOD DEAL.

Cute camisole! That color looks great on you Carrie.

holy deal, batman! That is superb.

You look so hot in that tank! I wasn't so sure about it until I saw yours... it is super adorable!

i heart your sexy cami. big boobies.

Looks fantastic. I was down in Georgia for the past 2 weeks, and I can vouch that it was freaking hot.

Wow - your cami tube looks great. I need to finish my orangina so I can move on that!

Love the tank! It looks fab on you - great job, and I love the color you chose. Your Clappy is coming along nicely, too...

Carrie:

Love the Tube Camisole-where'd you get the pattern? I like the open work in front-classy and not TOO REVEALING!

I like the rolled neckline on the Grape Fanta.

Best wishes at the new job!

Susan

The cami is beautimous! Great job - and it looks great on you!

I have the same question as Lara... is that Harmony or Duet? I just got a skein of Harmony specifically to make Clapotis - but like she said, it's 100 yds shorter than the pattern. How did you know when to start the decreases?

And I gotta tell ya - I know it's not the same when you are the one suddenly overrun by masses of students (and I won't even start about how you just can't even move on game days with the traffic and oy! the red and black extra-specially logo-d mobile homes parked everywhere...) but really, even with all that - I still miss Athens that first week of classes.

Don't hide your shopping deals...tell the world! That's what I do ;) Any time someone compliments something I get a good deal on I HAVE to tell them. I can't just say "Thanks!" I have to say "Thanks! I got it for $5 at Target!" or something along those lines :)

Ok, I am SO loving that tube top somethin' fierce. And might I add you are looking smokin' in it...And the Grape Fanta? Love.It. Very work appropriate. I am going to start my own Orangina in some blue 4 ply I got as a RAOK. Then I will be making that tube top in some Cotton Fleece (as I've mentioned before, you inspired me to try it out).

P.S.How's the new jobbie treatin' ya?

Nice knits!

a) is that Brooks Farm Harmony or Duet? How many yards did you buy, cause I bought one thing of Duet and it's only 500, which is 100 less than the pattern calls for, but I wanna make a smaller clappy out of it.

b)I SO look up to you for that $14.99 dealie. I need to shop with yOU!

Cute straps. Thanks for the inspiration. Hey, there's nothing wrong with a good deal, particularly when it looks so smashing!

I love that top - that Glampyre chickee is getting pretty darn good, isn't she? My only question is the practical one - does it work with a bra? I assume you have to go strapless. You look adorable, bra or no (and I can't tell which!) it suits you!

I LOVE your camisole tube top. It looks awesome & fits you great! What a great feeling to love what we knit when it is all said & done! ;-)

Lovely cammie, you look oh-so-professional in the purple fanta and I too would love to have a "touch-&-feel" monitor for that clappy - haven't tried one yet but now I gotta BUT here in the Mempho' area it's just like HOT-lanta - damn HOT!!

Winn Dixie?? Wow I haven't heard that name in a long time. I thought they were all out of business. How sad another one bite the dust.

I love you camisole. It looks great. :)

i CANNOT believe that dress was only $14.99!!! i saw it and thought, "wow! she must have splurged on that dress! but it's worth it!" as a notorious cheapskate myself, i salute you.

Dig the cami, as well as the supa-sassy pics of you wearing it. I, too, suck at crochet....but you, my dear, made those straps look adorable.

The clappy looks delightful...and very soft....I admit, I reached out and touched my screen while gazing upon its loveliness.

Hey, that cami tube looks abfab on you! I love that pattern. It seems easy enough for me to do so I am making it for my sister.

Beautiful job on the tank and it looks great on you. Fanta looks great too, very professional. ;)

The return of Leslie definately calls for a celebration.

Now, the tank! I love it. It's one of my favorite things you've made and it looks great on you.

Look at all your knits! I especially like the brooks clapotee.

Love the tank-too cute! I'm so interested in Clappys now as I just started one Friday. 3 repeats left in the increases! Good luck on yours, not that there's any chance of it not turning out great!

that tank is too cute! the color looks great on you.

i know what you mean about yarn shedding, the cotton angora i'm working with now just keeps shedding and going up my nose!

i always hate when the students come back to school, the summer is so nice and quiet and easy to drive around... damn students!

Oh no, I loved Winn-Dixie. The camisole looks great!

Leslie's coming back!!!! OH YEAH, this post is about YOU. But back to you. ;-)

Love the way that bobbly (and boobly) tube top came out. Might have to make it. Stop me now!

Winn Dixie went out of business? Shit, that's what happens when I'm not there to purchase Cheese Nips. How is the new job? You look fab and oh so hip in that blurry pic. I'll be back on Wednesday so you know what that means---FOXZ!!!!
