WHEEEE-kend

I will try not to totally bombard this entry with exclamation points and YAYs, but Maryland Sheep and Wool!!! YAY!

We're leaving tomorrow morning bright and early (caffeine in hand, of course) and we're going to have FUN. Still trying to decide what knitting to bring. Jacob is trying to convince me that a new pair of socks for him are just the thing. I'm also trying to convince myself that the Ribbon X-Back Tank from the newest Knitty is just the thing (I have some purty ribbon yarn waiting to be knitted up.) Or maybe all of it -- it's a ten hour drive, people.

So, my camera is with me today but my cord is not. So, I can't upload the pictures I wanted to share with you - I started a minisweater a couple of night ago with some cotton yarn and it's almost done...

::Confession time: I am a little obsessive. The knitting, it can become an obsession at times. I am also currently obsessed with watching previous seasons of Alias on DVD. So, on Tuesday night, Jacob and I rented the two first discs of Season 2. Okay - this is kind of embarrassing - but I watched ALL EIGHT EPISODES in a row. Two discs. Until 4 AM. And I knitted the entire time, which is why the minisweater is nearly complete. Hi, my name is Carrie and I have OCD. No, really, I do. ::

Ahem...but anyways, since I don't have my camera, I'm looking through my old photos to find pictures that will communicate JUST HOW EXCITED I AM about Maryland...

I heard there will be sheep there!

And doggies that herd sheep!

And I get to ride with these two wild girls!

And, I get to take a day off work.

So, I have no game plan for shopping, I'm just going to soak it all in. I don't really have a lot of money to spend anyways, so I'm more about hanging out. And maybe buying a TEENY TINY bit of yarn. Just a smidge.

I can't wait to meet everybody! Hope to see you there -- everyone travel safely. YAY.

I think that to get the personal loans from creditors you should have a good motivation. But, one time I have received a consolidation loan, because I wanted to buy a bike.

So sad I didn't get to spend more time with you all. We got so lost on the way home from dinner with everyone, what should have taken 20 minutes took an hour and a half - whoops. I hope there will be another chance for us to all hang out!

I totally understand your DVD obsession, I remember some buffy afternoons/nights/mornings...

Haven't seen Alias yet though,
I consider myself warned about the side effects then...

In france, we can't rent series, only movies, that's lame! You end up P2Ping, or buy them blindly on amazon...

Have a nice journey

Alice

heh... I almost asked you where you got the pattern from for that awesome black sweater that you have on in that pic, but someone in the comments said that she recognized it form Target...

I'm going to knit a Scoop du Jour modified to look like it though! (Add a fold-over collar, shorten bottom ribbing, add pockets, and bigger buttons... voila! (Only in blue instead of black!)

Dude, I am so with you on the Alias. I started watching Season One and I COULD NOT STOP. I was up until about 3 or 4 every morning watching it. Then when I finished, I drove directly to the nearest Barnes and Noble and bought season two. I couldn't even wait to go rent it. When season three came out, I watched something like 20 hours of Alias in 36 hours. And I continued to go to work full time, cause it was the middle of the week. I choose to feel productive rather than compulsive :) I made my boyfriend watch them, and he didn't call me for three days cause he couldn't stop watching them. You are not alone!

Lucky! I'm jealous. I would say have fun, but it's clear you don't need encouraging in that direction. :-) I'll most likely be living on the east coast this time next year, so I will surely be there in '06.

Your blog is great! I am jealous of the big road trip - but can't wait to read all about it. I feel like the only one on Planet EArth not getting to MD :( NEXT YEAR, I'm there!!!!!!!

I'm envious of you, even though wool makes my skin cry...just the idea of a road trip with you wacky gals sounds adventerous enough! Have fun!
And the watching-every-episode-in-a-row-thing? Fret not; I feel your OCDeeelightfulness. It's happened to me with Buffy, Strangers With Candy, The Office (sigh) and now Spaced (which I will show you - an old BBC TV show starring Shaun from Shaun of the Dead, sigh again.) Have so much fun! xoxo MJ

see you tomorrow! 12:30! YAY!

Wishing I lived on the East Coast now so I could go to MS&W. :(

(BTW, I still read ya all the time...things are just so busy around here I don't have time to comment.)

Oh damn, I look like a total loser now! I accidentally posted a comment to the wrong post. I was just trying to point out that I have that same black sweater from Target, but somehow I apparently got spastic and commented on a different post, so now it won't make any sense.

Anyway... yeah. I have that sweater.

I also watched several seasons of Sex & the City in one setting. Actually, I watched many of them as a passenger in the car on a long road-trip - plugged the laptop in to the power adapter, and away I went!

Yay for S&W!!! I can't wait to see you up here! And I'll be wearing my mini-sweater, too! Hooray!!!

I watched Season 2 of Buffy in 2 days so I understand (although I was leaving St. Louis where my friend had Buffy and I thought I *had* to finish it before I left).

Wow, have the best time ever! Drive safe and all that. I'm thinking I may have to visit my DC-area relatives this time next year...

Have a blast with the sheep!

It's sad, but I'd be all about pictures of sheep. Then would come yarn. I know, it's sad. What can I say? Real live sheep would be so cool!

I am SUPER jealous of everyone going to Maryland, so take lots of great pics, K? I spent some time looking through your FO gallery and your stuff is FABULOUS! I got some great ideas.

I can totally relate -- I watched the entire first season of Sex and the City in one sitting. The thing is, I felt that life made a little more sense after that.
Love your site - visit it often. Enjoy the yarn fest this weekend.

What Laura said, except I'll use my own name ;) Have a great drive!

Fear not Ms Carrie, you are in good company (!) I too have had a few Alias-a-thons, of 2 discs in a row!! I am currently up to disc 3 of season 3, and so far have managed to watch from disc 1 of series 1 ALL on free trials of online dvd rentals, I'm all about saving the $$$'S!!!
How I envy your 10-hour road trip to Maryland - being here in Australia would constitute a *bit* longer for me to get there, but I am awaiting with eager anticipation all the glorius blog reports
Have some fun on me!

You lucky girl!

Travel safely!

Have a great time . . . and, I loved your post title!

I didn't realize that you're making a 10 hour drive, I'm not so good with the geography. Being in a car with you three would go really fsat though. Have fun!!

We're leaving from Richmond tomorrow morning and my sister and her spinning group are leaving from Blacksburg tomorrow morning and I'm about to jump out of my skin I'm so excited! Maybe we'll see you there! Jane

AWWW YEAH!!!! See you sooon!!!!!

OK, um...so I live within an hour of MSW and I STILL took tomorrow off! I need a day to rest up in preparation. Hee hee hee! Have a safe trip up here and I can't wait to see you all!!! >>HUGS!<< and YAY YAY YAY!!!

yay sheep!! yay yarn!!! yay for meeting bloggie friends!!!!!!!!!!

Can't wait to meet you! Don't forget about Saturday. I'm not worrying about the shopping either - I'm there for the sheep. Nah. It's all about the bloggers!

Don't worry about Alias - I've totally done that with 24 - those DVDs are awful - it's like should we do one more? Okay, let's do it. Crazy! Sometimes it's better to get your crack in weekly doses - know what I mean?

Safe travel!

I'll be there! I'll look for you, so if a stranger says, "Hi, Carrie, I'm Laura and I read your blog!" you'll know it's me.

Please take a lot of pictures so those of us not going (boo) can live vicariously through them! And I hope you have a great time!!

Have a great old time! I think you have the most stylin super roadtrip crew around. For real.

Drive safe, enjoy the sheep and all the other folks!!

I really, really want to go - maybe next year (hey maggie, i'm from toronto too!). Alias + knitting = YAY!

Fabulous! Have a wonderful time. One of these years I'm going to go too...it's about an 8or 9 hour drive from Toronto. Someday I shall see you there!
