mondaymonday
I got up at 6:30 this morning and went to the gym. Aren't you proud of me? Inspired by my twin sister Cathy looking totally buff and fit, I decided it was time to start moving the old muscles. I haven't had a cigarette in many days (trying not to count) , so I figured I'd take advantage of my newly healthier lungs and exercise. It wasn't horrible. I get really self conscious at the gym, because I joined the UGA gym (only 11.00 a month for staff!) and it's all really skinny cheerleadery types. I am not above type. I am slightly dorky computer girl type. But I decided that I didn't want to be friends with those girls anyways and went to the gym with my greasy spiky morning hair and my newly acquired five dollar Target (pronounced Tar-jhay) shorts. So I did it! I worked out my arms and chest and did cardio. Tomorrow is just cardio. We shall see how long this lasts, but I did feel very energetic and refreshed at work this morning.
(Pause - I am giggling because Jacob made a CD mix to clean the house too, and Mr. Roboto by Styx just started blaring in my den.)
This weekend was busy busy busy. On Saturday morning I went to a wedding shower for Cat. There were lots of ladies that I didn't know there, but my mom and older sister Michelle came, and the food was really good. There were these really cute old twins named Louise and Eloise (can you believe it?) and they were so funny. Here's a pic of Michelle, Cathy, me and Mom at the party:

the fam. well, the girls anyway.
It was fun in a strange way. I still can't believe my twin sister is getting married in November....So after the shower, I had to drive to way South Georgia to play the piano at a wedding. (My first job at a wedding. Aww.) It went well, but dang, Newnan is really far...and I got super freakin' lost on the way home. So I left in the morning at 9AM for Cat's shower and got home about 11:00 PM Sat night...I was a tired schmoo.
No knitting knews really. I've just been working on the mini sweater and I'm nearing the end...YAY! Can't wait to show you guys. I think it's going to be super cute.
Okay, enough for me. I'm going to go nap. Or eat. Or maybe knit.

Carrie, you look awesome in that photo! I haven't seen your new hair in person... I missed you last weekend when I was in A-T-H, but I did see your boy Jacob bright and early at the coffee shop. Bye, girl... give me a holla sometime :)

Mr. Roboto...ha ha! My boyfriend LOVES that song.
Your trip to the gym has inspired me. Perhaps I will go rollerblading at the beach early tomorrow morning...

going to the gym in the morning is great...if only i could get up! that's the only time (besides late at night) that it's not insanely crowded. i feel your cheerleader pain. my gym is in hollywood and everyone is skinny and beautiful. once, the new hooters was doing some promotion there so a bunch of hooter girls in orange pants were wandering around the gym. not good for the ego.
and congrats to your sister. she looks lovely. and your new hair rocks!

Congrats on starting to exercise! (Send some of those vibes my way, lol!) It sounds like you had one hell of a weekend... my vote is sit down and knit, then eat, take a nap, then knit some more! :)

Congrats on incorporating regular exercise into your life! I've been wondering lately if I would exercise more if I could hang a small knitting bag onto the treadmill handlebars. Then, I could walk and knit at the same time! And then .... SPLAT! Oh well, such is a reverie. You ladies look so fab! Have a great week!

That picture of you four is AMAZING. You need to get it printed out on high quality paper and framed and then given out as presents. OK, not that I'm being all commanding and bossy or anything. (I've been trying to work up the nerve to join my neighborhood gym, too. No cheerleader types, but still...)

Your new hairstyle is hot. Congrats on the gym. Don't foret that "I feel great" feeling, it'll motivate you when the novelty wears off.

You and Cathy are so cute! (I still think your hair rocks, by the way.) Wow - I'm impressed with gym-going in the pre-afternoon hours. My school gym (when I actually made it to said gym) used to have lots of anorexic-types in the candy-pink "butt shorts." Blah. I still favor the oversized logo T-shirts with stains and the baggy soccer shorts. :)

You are a rock star! Hooray for lifting weights. The party was fun. Glad you were there to make faces at me when I didn't know people's names.
Have a good week! NO MOLLY'S!!
