hi and pictures!
hey everybody!
this time I will save my post multiple times....
First of all, here is my finished Vogue Knitting Tank, aka Strappy Tank, (because I wanna be like Rachael)
strappy tanks are fun!
I love this tank. I know I've been saying that a lot lately, but I really do love it! It fits well, the pattern was easy, and the yarn...the luscious Phildar Licorne...oh my. I was so scared that I would run out but I have half a 50 g skein left! (Yep, it was pretty close.) I knitted this pattern in the round instead of in two parts, so no side seaming, and the shaping still came out great. Yahoo! I don't even know what I'm going to knit next, I've been concentrating on this pattern so hard. Ideas, anyone?
And now, for some beach pictures. It was a fabulously relaxing trip...we slept late, stayed up late, ate amazing seafood (oh, broiled shrimp, crab cakes filled with delicious seafood yumminess, scallops...mmmm....), played with Wes and Cathy's schmoos, watched Law and Order, played Trivial Pursuit, went on a boat ride, laid on the beach, took naps, etc, etc.
they laugh alike, they walk alike, at times they even talk alike...
Men facing off with ocean. Ocean won.
RELAXED. Hell, yeah. Can I get me some more of that relaxation right now? No, cause I'm back in the real world! But these pictures make me remember the lovely trip:

You are just too adorable. I love the strappy tank on you and I'm snagging the Carrie and Jacob picture for the gallery of moons - it's so great. Love your sis's hat, too - fabby, fabby. What a vacation! xox...

Carrie, I love every single picture! You and your Sis are so cute. I wish I had a twin! Heck, I'd be happy if I just had a sister. Your latest tank is so fantastic! You've made me want to knit some tanks!
I also love that sweater that Michelle knitted! That is just way too cute!

The "party barge" shot is my favourite, but all these photos are great. It looks like you had a fabulous time -- actually, it looks like it would be impossible NOT to have a fabulous time!
And the Strappy Tank is so cute and sassy! It looks great on you. Nice work, Carrie!

Technical ?s about Strappy ...
Did you modify the length? The pattern just seems WAY long.
Did you modify the bottom? In your picture it doesn't look like there's much roll at the bottom.

Ahhhhh, the good life! As I toil in my sweltering, stinky-hot garage, putting price tags on rummage, I'm thinking about being on the beach somewhere, just like you were. Man, you're a lucky girl. And a great knitter! Your tank(s) look FABULOUS! Rock on, which yo bad self!

I love your strappy tank! It's a gorgeous red color! That tank is on my list too! I finally finished Honeymoon and I'm absolutely in love with it! Now if only the sun will come up in SF so that I can actually wear it....

Your Goddess fits you perfectly. Very cute! And your beach vacation looked like so much fun! What's up with your camera, though? I mean, those guys' legs can't be THAT pale, can they? Is it my monitor? I hope they used plenty of sunscreen! Hee hee.

Your "they laugh alike, they walk alike..." caption reminded me of something weird. When the Patty Duke Show started playing on Nick at Nite when my (twin) sister and I were around 12 years old, people used to sing that song at us at school. I used to tease Karen and say a hot dog makes her lose control. Hee hee. People used to also ask us to sing that "Let's Get Together" song from The Parent Trap. Like all twins are born with an ability to do coordinated singing and dancing routines together. I grew to hate that movie.

(I crochet and can only knit in a straight line/box, a la scarf). I covet the no sweat pants! Oh yeah and ALL your other clothes!!! Must quit my job to knit all day long. ;)
