...Two Lost Souls...

Meet Leroy and Sal!
So last night Anne Marie came over to knit and me and her and Jacob were all hanging out. Jacob wandered outside to feed the dogs and do some stuff. Suddenly, he comes back into the house, saying: "There are weiner dogs in our front yard!" And sure enough, we all went running outside and there were these two little dachshunds, hanging out in our front yard. No collar or tags. We called them and they came running up to us, jumping up in our laps, licking our faces. They are SCHMOOS. We drove around, asking around to see if any of the neighbors had lost them, but to no avail. Here they are hanging out with Anne Marie!
So they are homeless schmoos!!
Well, not anymore. We've called all the pounds and put in found notices, put an ad in the paper, and we're hanging up signs. But, if we can't find their owners, we're going to get these little guys adopted! Anybody want two dachshunds? They are the sweetest little doggies, so well-behaved, and we gave them both flea baths last night and let them sleep in the kitchen. Of course Bella and Chili are a little curious, but we figure that our two schmoos can stay outside for a little while since they always have a good home, and Leroy and Sal obviously don't. :( And yes, we named them Leroy and Sal. And yes, Sal is as fat as he looks in that picture. And Jacob already said we can't keep them...I tried. (But I know we can't really afford four dogs anyways!)
Schmoos! Yay!
Okay, now for the knitting content. Wanna see a finished felted bag?

The Amazing Technicolor Dream Bag
Wool scraps are fun. I made a little black strap with some leftover black wool, and it's a perfect size for all my crap that I tote around. I need to shave the furriness off of the bag, but it's a keeper. Yessiree. Ooh! I swatched for Polka Purl Dots, and I got spot-on gauge! Even the row gauge! Obviously it's meant to be. Then I read the first line of the pattern: "With smaller needles, cast on 210 stitches." Oh, boy. Here goes!
Okay, now I have to show you a picture of Bella and Chili too. Just because they were two lost souls once too.

Two little found schmoos
Aww. I love my doggies, all four of them right now. Cross your fingers that we can find a good home for the weiner dogs.

Full of Pride
It was Pride Weekend in Atlanta! I couldn't go because I am the church pianist at a GLBT church and everyone went to Pride and I had to stay and play at church service. But my sister and her fiance and his family went!!

here they all are marching in the parade!
Here's a picture of Cathy and Wes getting soaked at the Parade.
Cathy's fiance is Wes. His little brother Will is gay and his family is really involved with PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbian and Gays). Yay for supportive families and parents!! Those "Full of Pride for My Son" and "Full of Pride for My Brother" signs make me tear up. I wish I could have been there, but thanks to Cathy and Wes for representin'.
So I had this great picture of my new felted and completed Amazing Technicolor Dream Bag, but of course I left my USB cord at home for my digital camera. So. Oops. I guess that pic is coming tomorrow. It's pretty crazy looking, but I think I like it. I used the strap from the Suki pattern and it's long enough so I can wear it like a messenger bag. Yahoo! Pics tomorrow, I promise.
This weekend I worked a lot and played a lot too. Friday night we went to a coffee shop with Anne Marie and her friend Debbie. We played Scrabble... I was in the lead for a long time!! And, damnit, if Jacob didn't make an amazing comeback and beat me in the end by like a word. Grr. It frustrates and pleases me to no end that Jacob always beats me in Scrabble. I must, I must, I must increase my ability to use triple word scores to my advantage. Saturday I worked at Molly's all afternoon and evening and then we had a few beverages on the ve-rahn-dah at a bar downtown. Ah, it was lovely outside and the beer was cheap and flowing. Yay.
I keep meaning to swatch for Polka Purl Dots and then I get sidetracked. I think we're probably going to have knitting night tonight and I will do it then! I must! I really want to knit this top!!
Thanks for all the tagline suggestions. I think that the word schmoo should definitely be involved in some way. I'm still pondering, and the new design may pop up any day now...be on the lookout!

Rainy Days and Fridays

Jacob at Athfest, looking pensive in the sunlight.
This was taken at my show at Athfest. Jacob always looks so intense in pictures. In real life, he's a v. silly schmoo.
It's Friday! This has been another stressful week at work (which I think may have played a part in Wednesday's stomach fiesta) and I also worked 3 nights waiting tables. So I have some bags under my eyes that are ready to be erased by some rest and relaxation. Yahoo! I do have to wait tables on Saturday, but I fully intend to bring my knitting and chill between tables. If it's slow, that is.
I'm so glad you liked Grape Twist! The neckline is awesome, isn't it? Well, knit one yourself -- Just click here for the pattern! I got gauge with size 13s and the Berroco Pronto, although it's kind of a loose knit. Not loose in a revealing way, but very summery. (I'll tell you a secret if you promise not to hate me....I really don't care about row gauge usually. I know, I know! It's awful. But normally I just pay attention to the stitch gauge. So when I say 'I got gauge' it probably means that the stitch gauge is right on and the row gauge is darn close. This comes from reading Elizabeth Zimmerman's Knitting Without Tears.)
What's in store for this rainy weekend? Well, I'm hoping to finish my Amazing Technicolor Dream Bag, although I'm running out of bright and obnoxious wool scraps. I guess that means it's time to bind off and felt! I think I'm probably going to follow Anne Marie's brilliant lead and use a wine cork for a button on the bag. Hopefully mine will be as cute as AM's. (Check out her cute felted flower too!)
Currently, I'm working on a new look for the blog, and I really want some kind of clever tagline for my banner. "Carrieoke's Knitting Blog" isn't exactly the work of creative genius but I kinda like it, so I'm going to keep it for now. But I'd like to add a tagline to replace Hip Knits Since 2003, ya know, just to spice things up. One of Jacob's suggestions was "Knit 'Til You Bleed" ....ummm, I don't think I can come up with a clever banner for that. I discussed it with one of the cooks at work last night and together we came up with "Fertilizing the Hate Blossom" , which doesn't really describe my blog or what I stand for at all. We just thought it was a kind of cool saying. "Kind of cool" meaning ridiculous.
(As a side note, at the bar where I wait tables, there is a computer in the back that plays all our music. It's a PC with Microsoft Word on it, and for some reason one day, someone started writing haikus about the bar and saved the document. So people have kept adding haikus, and now there's this 10 page document with a bunch of haikus about Molly O' Shea's, with titles like "My Haiku About the Honey Mustard" or "My Haiku about Tex Hating Me". How bizarre is that??)
Okay. I digress. The point is, can you help me think of a clever tagline? Or at least, give me some ideas to start on? Or, just have a good weekend. Either way, I will blow you a kiss now. Mwah!!!

Sicky Poo.
I'm home sick. And, really, I am SICK. My stomach decided to have its own little fiesta last night and I spent the majority of our knitting night in the bathroom. (Too much information? Sorry.) But I did manage to have lots of fun anyways -- Anne Marie and Leslie and Jenna came over and we knitted while watching "The Joe Schmo Show" on Spike, the First Network for Men. "The Joe Schmo Show" is a parody of reality shows, and as an expert on reality shows, I can tell you that it's a damn good parody, and it's freakin' hilarious. (Basically, it's a fake reality show, but two of the contestants think it's all real. Cruel, but hilarious.)
But I really didn't intend for my whole post to be about my TV habits. I have a finished Grape Twist to show ya!

Carolyn, thanks for this yarn. It made my Grape Twist happy.
I'm loving this top. I'm still making a few modifications on the armholes...I sweat a lot (ew, too much information again) and I'm really conscious of tight armholes, so I'm trying to loosen them a little without making them look stupid. But, this pattern is super easy and FAST. I knitted mine using Berroco Pronto on size 13s and I was finished in a day or two. The pattern's designer calls it "a midnight snack" of a pattern, and I think that sums it up. Fast, easy, and satisfying. Yum! And Bella likes it too!
I'm going to spend my sick day swatching for Polka Purl Dots, (keeping in mind the warnings about this pattern's wonkiness), watching TV, and maybe knitting up a dishcloth or something. And sleeping. Yay! As much as I hate having explosive...well, you know....., I really needed a day off from work. It's been really hectic lately.
Off to the couches. Have a great day!

Weekend
What a crazy weekend! I have so many silly pictures to show and not enough time to post them all. But I'll show you a few...
On Friday, I got to leave work early so Jacob and I could go to his little cousin's 10th birthday party. I met him at the school where they were taking senior portraits, and Jacob decided that he wanted to have an impromptu photo session with the backdrops and his camera. So here are some of the results:
Cheesy Sitting Pose
Cheesy Hand Pose
Jacob's favorite - the Cheesy Attitude Pose
Jacob hooked his Canon 10D up to the lights and had a lot of fun posing me. If he had his own lights, the boy could seriously run a photography studio out of our house. His camera is so freakin' awesome, and he is awesome too.
He also took pictures on Saturday when my band played - our first gig! We played at this electronic music festival called Wired, which was part of Athfest this weekend.

we are totally rockin' out. Seriously.
That's Stuart and Mikael in the background behind the dj booth. Mikael played guitar and Stuart did all the rest of the computer, turning effects up and down, mixing, etc. I'm new to this whole electronic music thing, so I don't really know what exactly he's doing. But it sounds good. And then I sing over it all!

Whoa! Funky stage shot!
It was short and sweet and lots of fun. I can't wait until we have a bunch of songs so we can do a longer set. After we were done, we hung out at Athfest for a while, walked around and ate. We couldn't stay out too late because I had to play the piano at church on Sunday.
After church on Sunday, finally, I got a chance to knit for a while.

I needed instant gratification. Thank you, Berroco Pronto!
Thanks for all your comments about choosing a project. I decided that I needed to make Cherry Twist -- or should I call it Grape Twist? (see above) because it's a super quick knit. But I am also going to do Polka Purl Dots...I'll probably swatch for that tonight. (Sorry, Irene. Maybe next time. ) I'm a little nervous about the PPD, since several people said that pattern is confusing. But I'm going to start it anyways, and we shall see what strange twists and turns the pattern takes.
Hope everyone is having a good Monday. I'm tired but happy about my fun, fun weekend.

Knitting Night
Yesterday was a crazy day. Jacob woke up with the worst headache pain I've ever seen a person have and called in sick to work (which he NEVER does). He actually threw up from the pain. I know that's gross, but damn! I've never had a headache like that before. So that started my day, and of course I immediately started worrying that it was something horrible like a tumor. (It turned out to be a really bad sinus headache.)
And then, there's work. Work this week is *crazy*. I feel like I'm doing as much work each day as I normally do in an entire week. It's the end of the fiscal year, contracts need signing, etc. etc. So I was running around like a crazy woman delivering things and getting things signed and all the while worrying in the back of my head about Jacob (I actually even snuck away for 30 minutes and checked on him. That's the beauty of living in Athens -- you can actually drop by home in 15 minutes or less!)
So, when I finally came home and plopped down on the couch, all I really wanted to do was knit and watch Law and Order. And so I did. I called Anne Marie and she came over as well...... (speaking of Anne Marie, she has just entered the knitting blog world!! Check her out at AM's Blog of Knitting and Stuff. She is not only a knitter, but about to get her Ph.D. in genetics and a damn fine karaoke singer. And she has an adorable schmoo named Petey. If you want to see the beautiful Sophie bag she just knitted and the tiny sweater she's almost done with (it's smaller than a flip-flop! Really! Her blog has proof!), then you'd better go over there. It's cool, I can wait for ya!)
Are you back? Hi again! So we had a blast knitting and watching Law and Order. Jacob sat quietly and recovered from his headache misery...although he did exploit my obsessive fears and worries about him so I'd go get his pizza. Shameless.
Here's what I was working on last night:

Carrieoke and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Bag!
It's kinda crazy, I know. I started with the pattern from Weekend Knitting that calls for you to use all your wool scraps (so I guess this qualifies as my Scrap-Along project! Yahoo!) but I wanted a bigger bag, not just a little zipper clutch. So I'm using 13s and it's looking...umm...interesting so far. I think I will like it a lot better when it's felted. I'm not sure about the colors (you probably can't tell from this picture, but we've got green, pink, black, blue and others on it. Crrraaazzy!!!!! but hopefully it will felt into a beautiful rainbow stripey Dream Bag. Ha! I added some novelty yarn in there occasionally for sparkle and fun.
There are other projects in the works, I think, just not sure what yet. I will maybe decide tonight!
**okay, literally, I just fell asleep at my keyboard while typing this entry. I looked up and there was all this jumble on my screen, like hjla io;n irol; like I was trying to finish my entry and couldn't. Whoa, do I need sleep.
But here are some of the projects I am considering, and yes, they are for me. I'm so selfish.
Polka Purl Dots, Spring Interweave Knits 2004
Irene, a free Berroco pattern
Cherry Twist, free Knitty Pattern
Which do you like?

Delicious.
What a fun weekend...
Oh, David Byrne. How I love thee. He is the cutest thing.
He looks so happy when he is performing, which makes ME so happy to watch him, and he dances around like a crazy man when he is singing! Oh, I love it. He had a string section with him that sounded gorgeous, and a happy percussionist, bassist and drummer that rocked. Totally. It was such a fun time. Jacob definitely has some David Byrne-esque mannerisms (especially when he's doing karaoke), which makes me think that either he's watched Stop Making Sense too many times, or I've definitely found the man of my dreams.
The only thing that marred my joy a little bit was so many people kept talking! I paid $30 for that show...that's a lot of money for me....and I certainly wanted to hear it. I think maybe some of the audience members didn't pay for their tickets or just paid $30 to have a social. Which is FINE. Just not near me, because I want to hear my baby David Byrne sing songs. (By the way, if you haven't heard his album Look in the Eyeball, you should totally check it out. Especially "Neighborhood"...that's a happy, grooving song. Yay!)
Last night Jacob and I made beignets for a snack...(well, kind of for dinner,actually)...and of course we had to have some coffee to go with them. Yum. Except that the coffee was caffeinated and I haven't had caffeine in SOOOOO long so I got SO MUCH ENERGY. SO MUCH. So I cleaned the office and set up my computer at home and set up a scanner and knitted and knitted and knitted. I worked a little on my HP scarf (and have you seen the new style? Very cool, but I haven't finished my old style one yet!! Arrgh!) and I finished a funky little scarf that I've been working on (pic tomorrow.) I also knitted a fun little wristband for myself. Wanna see?

My wristband is delicious!
I snapped that blurry picture right as the TV was flashing some crazy commercial, and I figure, hey, my wristband IS delicious! That made sense when I was high on caffeine.
I ended up starting a felted bag and knitting until 2:30 am. No more caffeine for Carrie. Period.
Oh my goodness, we watched Big Fish this weekend...I cried my face off. LOVED it. I love Albert Finney so much, probably because he's part of my childhood (Daddy Warbucks!!). This movie was so damn touching, but not cheesy, because Tim Burton made it eerie and almost a little creepy. Two thumbs up.
Okay, enough random chatter for now. Knitting projects, in order of estimated completion date: Harry Potter Scarf. Felted Bag. ??? What's next? Hmm....
June 11, 2004
TGIF, for real.
It's Friday! And I'm going to see David Byrne tonight! Yahoo!
As promised, here is a picture of my Harry Potter scarf-in-progress:

where are Hermione's charmed needles when I need them?
Dude, this thing is taking forever to knit. I started this a long, long time ago, right when I first started knitting, and now it's lengthening much faster because I can knit in the round while watching TV or reading or whatever. But STILL! In order for it to wrap around my neck and still hang down, I've got a ways to go. And I really need to finish this before I start any new projects...I actually might sell this to someone. I just don't know if I can part with it, after working on it for so long. I mean, I like Harry Potter. A lot. But I don't know if I can make another scarf for me.....Oh, decisions.
(Have you seen the new movie yet? I'm hearing wonderful things, and if Gary Oldman is Sirius Black, I'm already in love. I love me some Gary Oldman.)
But, I'm thinking I might be making another felted bag soon, or maybe even working on some wintry stuff, since my stash is running low on summer yarn. I have been noticing some lovely projects from the scrap-along that Larissa is hosting. Check out Larissa's on her June 9th post -- so cute. I've been thoroughly inspired to start my own Scrap-Along project, a top-down raglan with some modifications along the way. Although, my scraps are going to be sooo crazy that maybe I shouldn't add any other distraction to the sweater...I DO want it to be wearable. We shall see.
It has been a long, long week, in workland, homeland, and blogland. I am ready to relax on my couch and knit my hands off and watch Big Fish (I love you, Netflix!). I want to be as relaxed as this doggy here...this is Cash, my sister and brother-in-law's dog, and he is a schmoo. He's also super photogenic (although it helps that my brother-in-law is a graphic designer and an excellent photographer...)
I hope everyone has a great weekend. I plan to dance my tail off tonight at the David Byrne show and then sleep in on Saturday!
Thanks for making my week more bearable! Mwah!

Captain

I am the Captain of my own...blog....
Jacob actually took this picture of me driving the boat when we were at the beach with Cathy and Wes. Just as I was trying to look serious and captain-like, the boat veered in some crazy direction and I thought that we were going to crash into some restaurant. Or a shrimp boat. (That's why I look confused and constipated in that picture.)
But I'm posting that picture because I AM the captain here! I'm in charge, damnit! So I'm going to steer this here blog wherever I want it to go, be it to RainbowHappyLand (where I prefer to reside) or NastyDrizzlyGrumpLand** (where we all have to go sometimes).
And I'm just dumbfounded by how nice and supportive and caring people can be. I am also amazed at how mean-spirited and judgemental people can be. Thank you for all of your nice comments...they really made my day a lot better. Things are looking up today, mostly because you guys all came and spread a little sunshine on my blog. Yay you!!
I am new to this, ya know... this people on the internet aren't always nice to you thing...and I promise I'm not going to let it bother me. I already have lots of funny, intelligent and interesting blogs to read without reading negative ones. This did make me think a lot about why I'm blogging in the first place, which I was already thinking about due to Em's excellent post this week. But at the end of the day, there are a number of reasons why I write on this here blog. I blog because I'm obsessed with knitting, my dogs, and computers, and where else can I combine all three? I want to share these obsessions with people who are similarly obsessed (and I really think you have to be a *little* obsessive-compulsive to keep a blog updated, and I can say that because I'm a little OC myself.) I also blog because I've met so many great people through the internet (who woulda thunk?) and I love the communication that results from blogging. Not just comments, but emails back and forth, and sometimes even phone calls, that totally make my day. So, although I'm still a wee bit sensitive to criticism, I'm not going to let it stop me from being happy, and THIS makes me happy. Dammit.
On the knitting front? Very little. I'm still working on a Harry Potter scarf...I'll try and post some pics tomorrow. I also still need to get some size 4 circs to start a lovely pink halter in Svale yarn....but I might have to wait until I wait tables on Monday to get those. I really wish my Denise interchangeables came in every size imaginable...oh, but a girl can dream.
I've got to go to work, but seriously, thanks for your comments. You all rock.
**(I admit, I had been reading the comments over at the Curdmudgeon's for a little while today, but frankly, I don't have time in my day to sit and read mean things that people have to say. And, furthermore, I don't care! I'm here to tell you right now that my blog is just that, MY blog, and I'm going to write whatever I damn well want to, and anyone who doesn't like that can kiss my ass. Yay knitting schmoo blogs.)
June 9, 2004
Grump.
Harumph. Am I grumpy today.
First, I auditioned for a play and I didn't get the part I wanted. Not really any big deal, but just disappointing. A really cool, talented girl did get the part, so I can't really complain about it. Just disappointed. *Sigh.*
Then, work is a big old cluster----. That's right, that's what I said. I keep getting these projects that are like super urgent right away due now and no one gave me any heads up at all except, "by the way, do this YESTERDAY." Umm, okay. Thanks for the warning. Grr.
And, I had some minor dermatological surgery on my face on Monday and I have a big freakin' bandage on my nose that I have to keep on for a week. It looks, well, yucky. And I feel yucky with it there.
Then, I'm looking at my web site statistics to see what's new and I notice a link to the Knitting Curmudgeon. Wow, I think, 16 hits from there! That's cool! Then I went over to her site and her whole post is about how the Purling Puppies webring is stupid and mixing your pets with your knitting is stupid and blah blah blah. And then she starts in on the owner of the ring (that's me) and says that I must be only 14 since I said "Yay knitting." Grr. Is a webring actually bothering her enough that she has to write about it in her blog? And did she have to insult me? I mean, thinking the webring is stupid is fine. But she doesn't know me or my dogs, and obviously if she knew my dogs, she would know that they are complete schmoos and deserving of many, many webrings. Well, whatever. Everyone's entitled to write whatever on their blogs. But negative people don't make any sense to me.
Okay, that's all. I just had to vent. I don't even have a picture to post. I'm just grumpy-a-lumpy. Grr.
Yay Knitting! Yay Dogs!
June 8, 2004
busy busy busy

me, my dad, Cat. yay family!
Jacob took this picture when we visited my dad in NC. Isn't my dad cute? We had a lot of fun and ate North Carolina barbecue-- (which Jacob doesn't understand and rejects. He doesn't know what he's missing. Yum.) Good times were had by all.
I am so freakin' busy. I remember reading on someone's blog about vacation re-entry...coming back to the real world after vacationing....and how bad it sucks. I am here to agree wholeheartedly! I have been so slammed at work ever since I got back, and it doesn't look like it's slowing down anytime soon. (Tis the end of the fiscal year and people get antsy and busy. Yay, office stuff.) In addition, I play the piano at choir rehearsal once a week, I try to waitress Mondays and Fridays at Molly's, and I just auditioned for a play last night. Aack! What am I doing?
It's so hard for me to decide to cut stuff out, though. And the piano playing and the waitressing are for MONEY, so they must be there. The play is to keep me sane...it makes me happy. I think that when I'm so busy that I HAVE to organize, it makes my life a little smoother.
My band is gearing up for our first live show on June 19. Athens has this big local music festival every year called Athfest, and there's a related festival that's just for electronic music called Wired. That's where my band will be playing. It will be short and sweet...just a few songs...but it will still be fun to try out the live show and see what it's like. I'm just going with the flow with this band gig to see what happens....
And in knitting news? Nothing much going on right now. I was just starting to run low on yarn when my Not-So-Secret Pal sent me a lovely gift certificate for a lovely store, so now I have to decide what I'm going to use it for! (Thanks to Jen for rocking so hard.) Until I purchase so more yarn, I'm just working on a Harry Potter scarf that I started centuries ago and will hopefully finish this week. Maybe.
In other strange news, I started eating a little differently this week. My whole family (mom, both sisters, their husbands/fiances) have started the South Beach Diet, which made me laugh A LOT at first but apparently they're all feeling great and losing weight and happy as larks. Well, I wouldn't mind feeling great too, so I started eating the way Suzanne Somers says to in her collection of books about Somersizing. I know....you can laugh.... but the food is actually really good, and my stomach hasn't bothered me in three days. Now THAT's an accomplishment. So, I'll let you know how it goes. The next step is for me and Jacob to start exercising, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. We'll see about that.
P.S. Thanks for all the lovely comments about my goddess tank. I did not, however, knit Cathy's floppy beach hat...that's a Gap special, baby.
June 3, 2004
hi and pictures!
hey everybody!
this time I will save my post multiple times....
First of all, here is my finished Vogue Knitting Tank, aka Strappy Tank, (because I wanna be like Rachael)

strappy tanks are fun!
I love this tank. I know I've been saying that a lot lately, but I really do love it! It fits well, the pattern was easy, and the yarn...the luscious Phildar Licorne...oh my. I was so scared that I would run out but I have half a 50 g skein left! (Yep, it was pretty close.) I knitted this pattern in the round instead of in two parts, so no side seaming, and the shaping still came out great. Yahoo! I don't even know what I'm going to knit next, I've been concentrating on this pattern so hard. Ideas, anyone?
And now, for some beach pictures. It was a fabulously relaxing trip...we slept late, stayed up late, ate amazing seafood (oh, broiled shrimp, crab cakes filled with delicious seafood yumminess, scallops...mmmm....), played with Wes and Cathy's schmoos, watched Law and Order, played Trivial Pursuit, went on a boat ride, laid on the beach, took naps, etc, etc.

they laugh alike, they walk alike, at times they even talk alike...

Men facing off with ocean. Ocean won.
RELAXED. Hell, yeah. Can I get me some more of that relaxation right now? No, cause I'm back in the real world! But these pictures make me remember the lovely trip:

this is what they'd like to do all summer.

party barge!

Cathy and Molly-girl on the beach!

me and my schmoo (I'm wearing Honeymoon! I think he likes it!)
Okay, I've got to go to work now, but it was marvelous. I missed updating my blog though! Am I a blogging geek? Maybe...I'll post more later on. Mwah!
June 1, 2004
Lovely, lovely trip
I had such a great time at the beach. Can I go back? Pretty please????

on the back porch swing...
I just completely lost my entire entry about my beach trip, and I am so, so sad. I will post tomorrow with pictures, and more!
Meanwhile, go visit Jen at Monkeyknits -- she was my Secret Knitting Pal and sent me the best presents ever! What a classy, fun gal! Thank you thank you thank Jen!!
You can also visit Suzanne at Suziknits - I was HER secret knitting pal and have been sending her little gifts for a while now. Thanks Suzanne, for letting me be a part of your knitting world!
And finally, check out the fabby sweater that my sister Michelle just finished....

hello, adorable cuteness!
How freakin' cute is that! It looks so beautiful.... Great job, Michelle!
More tomorrow...I'm just too tired to write it all again. Grr.
