Short and Sweet...and I'm back.

***I'll write more later and probably post some pics...but just wanted to turn your attention to the left sidebar... I have just made it possible to pick another look for this site if you want to change it up a bit. The only two available right now are this current blue look and the previous pink look (with the two ladies on the banner) but I'm sure I'll add more soon. (Part of the reason I did this is that I like to change my banner so much!!)

Anyways...I'm a PHP newbie so I'm hoping my website doesn't collapse. If you dare to try skinning this site, click on the link to the left!***

Okay, and I'm back. Sorry I had to run to lunch. Are you having a good day? I am...I wasn't feeling 100% yesterday so I called in and rested and cleaned up around the house. Got some stuff organized, knitted a little, and laughed at Jacob who took 5+ hours to get the sound system in the TV room JUST RIGHT. (Coincidentally, Jacob had yesterday off too! How lucky that I was sick! ) He's cute.

And the schmoos! Bella has taken to joyfully digging large holes in the middle of the backyard and then laying in them. It's the freakin' cutest thing ever. I'm trying to get a picture but if I go outside, she always gets up. Today she dug one and stuck her head in it, with her butt up in the air. Chili just lounges beside her, laying in the sun. SCHMOO.

I am almost done with a project that I have not mentioned yet on the blog..I'm making a quick-to-knit poncho. I bound off last night but decided I wanted it a little bit longer, so at lunch today I unknit the bound off edge and started knitting a little more, on smaller needles to make the bottom look a bit different. ( LOVE Denise Interchangeables. ) The Chevron tank has been sitting on my bedside table until I finish the poncho, but I see a LOT of knitting in my future this weekend...I want it to be pretty so I can sit outside, watch the dogs, and knit up a storm. Blissful...

Well, except for Saturday, because I do have a show. And for those of you in Athens, GA, or nearby, you can come to the show for FREE!! Yippee! Since the new theatre we are performing in isn't technically ready yet, our performances this weekend are "dress rehearsals" that they are opening to people who volunteer for Athens Creative Theatre... or, people who can't make any other show. (And I'm taking the opportunity to invite my friends who normally don't come to my shows because they can't afford the $15.) So, hopefully it will still be a good show, and a fun time. And, I'm hoping that all my songs and lines come rushing back.....*fingers crossed* I leave you with a dorky picture of me in another play, "Damn Yankees.." I'm singing "Shoeless Joe from Hannibal, MO" in this picture...tee hee.

What pattern are you using for the poncho?

Yay, do you remember "Greta Schmoopy from the Land of Schmoo..."??? I loved that song.
And "Just a little dog with a problem, singing dog dog dog..."??? I still sing that to Odile when she is a dog with a problem.

You were really good in 'Damn Yankees,' dude. Everyone in and around Athens should really see you in a play, especially if they have never seen you perform before.
Go see Carrie's play!!!

You. are. a. computer. nerd.

One of my students sent me a link to a song about programming as poetry. I'll have to send it to you.

Good job, techno-geek! :)

Nice job, Carrie. Soon I'm gonna be askin you for help with PHP. (c:

You did it! It looks great.

It worked!!! It's like a "choose your own adventure" website. :-)
