I have a load of pictures to show ya. First, the completed Chevron Tank:
I love this tank! It knitted up SO fast. And the Cotton Fleece makes it soft and yummy. It needs to be blocked a little, but otherwise it is finished. I did crochet around the armholes and the neck. I'm still a firm believer in knitting things in the round... the seaming on this tank almost ruined it, but I didn some crafty crocheting and weaving and saved it.
And we had knitting group last night for the first time in a while. Yay! We were planning to knit and watch American Idol but American Idol was pushed forward a night since Bush had to give a speech. Grr. Things I didn't want to watch...so we let Jacob watch it on mute and we gabbed and knitted. We had so much fun. I have missed knitting night...Camille is moving to Atlanta so it was her last night...sad times...but hopefully the rest of the girls will want to keep having it. And we can actually watch American Idol next time.

Today will be better! I am determined! I am happy! I am a ray of sunshine beaming out of my office!

I love that tank! I think I need to stop surfing the ring because I keep seeing more and more potential projects. And please, let Camille know she is certainly welcome to the Atlanta Stitch 'n Bitch!! Carrie, I hope you can visit us soon.

Tank! Poncho! Poncho and Tank!
I *love* the color of your tank, and it looks beautiful on you.
Your knitting group looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for all the pictures.

Did you know there was a knit-along for the chevron tank that you just finished? Yours looks awesome...I'm putting in on my ever-growing to-do list.

Carrie, why did they tow your car? Don't feel bad, I went to the dentist and thanks to a long winded man in the office, I was 2 minutes late back to the meter.....and I got a $35.00 parking ticket!!!! It's the first parking ticket I've ever gotten!!!! Of course I've had other tickets, but we won't talk about that. :->
Look on the bright side, you were able to get your car back the same day. Usually out here you can't get it back for a minimum of 2 days (and 2 days of fees too!)

Wow...love your tank! I'm going to HAVE to give it a go now! Could you show us a close up of the crocheting you added around the neck and arms? I'm just wondering how it changes it...plus I'm very scared of crochet needles ;)
Your needles are turbo charged lately!
Marley gives a woof to Chili & Bella. She's jealous of their new big yard though!

I hate having my car towed. Those people will be whatever crocodiles eat, in their next lives. Love the finished projects! That chevron tank is just as cute as in the advertisement!

your tank looks fantastic! i think i'll try that one for our 2nd tank along! especially since i'll be using cotton fleece from the boatneck shell attempt last year!
(maybe this year i'll finish the tank!)

What a great poncho!! I can't tell you how long I have been on the hunt for a good poncho. We camp a lot in the summer and the evenings around the campfire can be chilly. I was looking for a poncho that was not too long and yours looks perfect. I did check out the Cape Mod when I got my book, but as a new knitter I wasn't able to visualize it differently. Do you mind if I ask how you did your neckline?
Thumbs Up for a great job!!

As always, great knits. I liked the Chevron Tank when I saw it in FCEK but I like it even more after having seen your solid one. I must just have to whip one up for the summer.

That tank is so beautiful...Now I am determined to make it. So sorry about the towing. Paying any kind ticket, towing fee, etc. is the worst. I hope the knitting group and your cool new poncho cheered you up.

Your recent knitting accomplishments are to be celebrated! Very hip and in style!
I miss knitting group. I am trying to get my fellow grad students in Planning, Policy & Design out here at UCI to start knitting, but they "just don't have the time." I think they still associate knitting with grandmothering. Maybe I can change their minds...they need a little Stich and Bitch indoctrination!

Why did they tow your car?!? Good for you for not letting The Man bring you down! Well, you should be happy because you have such fabulous new knits to wear!!

That tank is very fab, what a gorgeous fit as well! Hooray! Fab poncho too!

Yay for that tank top! It is great on you! Nice color. Sorry you had an icky day, but the picture cracked me up! Continue with your "ray of sunshine" attitude.

dude! that tank came out awesome!!! looks great on you! and the poncho of course, you know i love ponchos, but pales in comparison. woot!

Woo Hoo! I love the tank - it looks fantabulous! The poncho is also great. And is that cotton fleece I see for the Bucket O Chic? Because if it is, we may end up with the same hat - I'm making a Bottoms Up for Becky's knitalong in a raspberry-colored cotton fleece (check my looong list of projects). You go girl!
