aaaahhh.
Yay! Things are looking up in Carrieoke land. I even got some knitting done!
This weekend was a stress relief. On Saturday, I organized a departmental team builder for my office in the form of PAINTBALL. (This was NOT my idea.) I was sort of dreading this, since I have a low pain tolerance and I've never played, but dude, paintball is so much fun! I can't think of a better stress reliever than laying on your belly in the woods, shooting paint at your boss. (Well, maybe a massage would be better. But I take what I can get.) At any rate, it was super fun and I felt like a new woman afterwards. Yahoo!
In an act of optimistic hope, I left Bella outside with Chili during the paintball activities. And I came home to two happy, playing, filthy dogs. For some reason, the schmoos are feeling better and Chili has ceased the attacks. I think part of the reason Bella got so scared before is because when I heard the fighting, I would run outside, crying, flailing my arms around, screeching, "NO!" So, if they were just playing, they might have been a little freaked....So, we have been letting them stay outside together all day, and they are happy little schmoos. We are currently still bringing Bella inside to sleep because...umm...because I want to sleep inside and there's really no other reason. (And Jacob is, for now, letting that be okay.) So, yahoo! Dog situation in check.
And the knitting! Oh, the knitting. Here's what I'm working on right now (click to enlarge)...
It's the Chevron Rib tank from Interweave Press (Click here for pattern). I am using lovely berry colored Cotton Fleece (from Carolyn) and this yarn is so yummy and soft. It does reveal all errors, though, so I've had to go back and correct several mistakes. But I think I'm going to love this tank when I'm done. Woot! (You will notice in the picture that a Scrabble board is visible. Jacob and I have been playing at the dinner table recently. I pride myself on being a really good Scrabble player, and the boy has beat me twice. Grr. Frustrating, but also kind of cool.)
So, I'm feeling good. Got some knitting projects going, recording some more vocals tonight for the song I recorded with the band, and my play starts up again this weekend.
Thanks for sticking with me through the move. I know I was a little grumpy, but I couldn't have made it without my blogging friends. Mwah! I kees you all!

You grumpy is most people's cheerful. I'm glad things are better, 'specially with the schmoos!

Ummm, that pattern looks hard as crap. But remember, I've only knitted a scarf, a sweater, and one and a half gloves. However, I am printing the pattern to motivate me to try and knit it. I think it will be winter before it's finished...
It's actually 76 and sunny here at the beach today... Why am I inside reading your blog?? Oh, well, it's Spring Break, I can do whatever I want.
Glad to hear that the doggers are getting along :)

So glad to hear the pups (and I'm sure you) are doing better!
I printed that tank pattern for my sis so I could hear how difficult it was and she decided not to make it. I'm glad you're blogging about it!

Glad the schoos are at peace and enjoying the great outdoors. As for knitting - fantabulous! I downloaded that same pattern and I LOVE it. I think I may eventually make it in Blue Sky Alpaca Organic Cotton, but the Cotton Fleece is also fabby. I used it for a project YEARS ago (1996) and still have leftovers that I'm planning to use for crocheted Turkish slippers. Can't wait to see the tank all done.

See, the schmoos are getting along, didn't we tell you that! If they went to preschool, I'm sure you would be there with them too.
Ok, I have to put my 2 cents in.....Is it really fair to bring one schmoo in at night and not the other???????????? Let's be fair here. Maybe I'll make Chili a sign to wear "I want in at night too" and maybe you and Jacob would get the hint. Taking one in and leaving the other out is not good schmoo "etiquette".
