weird weather
It feels great here! It's 72 today! Notice that only two entries down, I was talking about our snow day. The weather is very bizarre here, but I'm fine with it now -- I love me some hot weather. We ate lunch outside today, and I took a walk last night....blissful. Here is proof that we really did have snow less than a week ago....

It was Bella's first snow, and she wanted to play in it all the time. She is a Christmas schmoo so that makes sense. Chili is an expert at being outside so she loved every minute of it. I was sleeping soundly while they played..... :)
Thanks for all the nice comments on my top down. I have a question for you guys -- do you think Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride is a little itchy? I do! It felt so soft when I was knitting but then wearing my sweater without a T-shirt makes me itchy itchy!
I will be going to Panama City this weekend to see Jacob's sister and grandparents. Long car trip=knitting time! I'm so excited! I want to finish my no-sweat pants and maybe the Chickami I'm working on. I also need to make a Kitty Hat for a friend, and maybe knit a big felted bag for me.
Last night I started making some petals for some Perky Poppy Pins....so easy and fast! I made three petals while I was watching the American Idol Untalented Episode (very weird)....I CANNOT wait to felt these. This pattern is awesome! I think I'm going to make a pin at first, and maybe add some to a felted bag. Fun times!
My sister Cathy is almost done with her first top down, so I will post pictures of that soon. She learned to use dpns all by herself (with many phone calls to me) and I'm so excited to see her sweater!
More knitting time tonight...gotta watch American Idol and vote for my favorites, and secretly wish I was on there....*sigh*
P.S. I have revamped my photo gallery so it's a little easier to see my finished stuff and all the info about the projects is in there..take a look!

aaawwww...bella and chili! yay for snow.
I've been following your blog for quite some time now, but not until seeing all of your projects on one page did I realize what a prolific knitting queen you are!
I think it's also very noteworthy that half of the things you have knitted have been given as gifts to other people.
Knitting Queen!

wool is always itchy :)
The Schmoos are so cute in the snow.

I find that putting a little hair conditioner in the rinse makes wool/mohair much softer...after all, it's just "hair" off a different creature.

Your gallery page is spiffy. Great job, Carrie!
We had snow just a week ago, too. Now it's sunny and the snow is all melted. Still freezing, though. Wish the weather would make up its wacky mind, already.

Carrie,
I don't see "schmoo warmers" on the schmoo's legs! Let's get knitting those schmoo warmers. :->

Lamb's Pride is a bit itchy. You might wanna try washing it in the "Top of the Lamb Sahampoo" or something with lanolin in it. I hear that helps.
