Sick Day.
So yesterday I wasn't feeling so good and I stayed home from work. And what did I do?
Well, I knit!
I have now finished two kitty hats...one for Alison (Jacob's sister) and a black one for myself. And I love it! Here's a picture of Alison's hat modeled by me and here's a silly picture of my friend Rob wearing the hat. (He said if he was a 'chick', he would love it. haha!)
I also have pictures of the long skinny scarf I knitted with 35s and Wool Ease Thick and Quick. (Please excuse how goofy I look in these pictures..) Here is a long shot of the scarf...it's 8 feet long! This is a close up of the stitch and color. It's just knit knit knit on 35s, and it was done in about 2 or 3 hours. Easy peasy.
I also got a knitting present this weekend! How fun! Look what my sister Michelle made me ... and here's a close up of the patch! Isn't it so awesome? I have my own Carrieoke knitting bag now! I love it. She used the pattern from the Stitch N Bitch book, by the way, if anyone is interested in making one for themselves.
Sorry if I'm overloading you with pictures. I just like to take them so much...especially with my new digital camera! And when my little dog jumps up in my face like this, I just have to snap a picture.
Anywho, I had a nice, restful sick day, but I just can't seem to get my energy back. I feel like I'm tired ALL the time! Anyone have any advice? We did do a lot this weekend...and on Saturday we celebrated Jacob's dad's birthday...and I could hardly keep up with Jacob's parents!! :) We had Cajun food and then we went to a bar to hear some music....It was really fun but I was exhausted the next day. Maybe I'm still recovering from that.
In knitting news, I have finished Alison and Kendall's presents and they are off to Florida today. I finished my own kitty hat as well, and now I'm kind of lost. I have a little bit of yarn left over from Christmas, so I'm working on the Must Have Cardigan from Hip to Knit, but I need more yarn! (I mean, some people say that and they really don't, but I really do, I swear.) Payday is inching closer...maybe I can pay the bills AND get yarn! (In that order, I promise.)
We'll see.....for now I'll just knit with what I have. As long as I have somethin' to knit with, I'm a happy girl!

The more pictures the better I say! I love your knitting bag, it's so cute - I'm wondering how your sister did the patch.....are there directions for it in the book (I'm getting one any day I hope)? The scarf is great too (and super quick!)

Hi Carrie:
I've checked out your site as I was cruising the knitting blogs. I love the pics of your dogs...turns out your dog (the white and tan Jack...I'm assuming) looks just like my Jack's sister or brother! I'd send you a picture but I couldn't find an email address on your site for you. Happy knitting and enjoy your day off!
