just another monday...
hello friends!
it's raining here...it hasn't been rainy in a little while. it's already getting colder too...time for me to knit lots of fun scarfs and quick hats on big needles. Ya-hoo!
I got a fun treat this morning....going to municipal court about a ticket for running a red light. (oops). I pled nolo contendere...no contest...but they were nice enough to give me a 30 day break on the fine. (Although, if I spend 9 days in jail, I don't have to pay the fine! Hmm...which should I do??) Yay for our friendly court systems.
This weekend was wild and crazy! It was a game weekend, which means all hell breaks loose in Athens, everyone drinks until they can't stand up, and on Sunday, everyone rests. I worked all weekend among the crazies and made lots of good tip money. We also deejayed a karaoke party on Saturday night and I did a little more drinking that deejaying....
On the knitting tip... I blocked my second square for my crazy quilt on Sunday and it looks fab. Also, I kept working on my top down, and I am SO going to run out of yarn. So...I have some extra cotton yarn in a beige color, what do you think about a pink on the top, brown on the bottom sweater? Really ugly, or stylishly daring? I guess I'll just start it up and if it looks ugly, I can frog it... (I'm trying to learn to take risks and be fun with knitting, but I HATE pulling out rows and rows of knitting!)
Hope everyone's having a great day. I'm about to have a bunch of finished pieces to take pics of and post up, and I'm excited!

Pink and beige should work out great - if not, just wear it when you bartend (all the girls are prettier at closing time...) lol.

Hi Carrie, so, do they allow knitting needles in jail. I hear the food is okay...better than the mac'n'cheese that I'm eating! I hope we have knitting group agan soon. I'll bring my finished camoflauge and purple hat :)

Yay! Scarf knitting is here!
Re the top down, I don't see anything ugly about beige and pink. Beige is neutral, bay-bee! It goes with about anything. And, like you said, if you don't like how it looks you can always frog it. (I'm a known ripper, but I also hate to rip out many rows of knitting...do it with a glass of wine handy and sing, sing, SING!)
